*All Times EST
We recommend arriving no later than 6:15 am EST to avoid backup delays and securing on-site parking. Cars arriving prior to 6:45 am EST can park at the 6 Barnhardt Circle grounds. The lot will close promptly at that time to ensure a safe start and road closures for the race.
Do NOT park on Barnhardt Circle itself or on the grounds next to any monuments within the circle. Follow the instructions of onsite traffic sentries.
St. Gerard Catholic Church, one block from the start/finish area, will provide parking to racers and spectators at $5 per car.
Additional parking is available at nearby businesses and churches on Lafayette Road though we ask you follow all posted signs and regulations.
There will be six aid stations, approximately every 2 miles, along the marathon/half marathon course stocked with water, Powerade, fruit and basic first aid.
We encourage runners to carry their preferred nutrition.
The 5K course has one aid station with water only.
Professional medical personnel will be stationed at the start/finish line. Should any runner need care beyond basic first aid while on the course, please alert a volunteer at an aid station and transportation will be provided to the finish.
Any runner unable to complete the course due to medical need or time limit will receive transportation to the finish.
The Chattanooga Track Club offers free pace teams led by experienced pacers, each carrying a flag for their estimated finish time throughout the race.
Pace times are based on the availability of volunteer pacers – below is a list of the pace groups offered in 2023:
Half Marathon: 1:35, 1:50
Marathon: 3:15, 3:20, 3:25, 3:35, 3:45, 4:00, 4:10, 4:15, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 5:45, 6:00
Food and beverages will be provided for all finishers in the post-race tent.
Average race day temperature in early November is in the low 40s at the start, warming to the low 50s in early afternoon.
To ensure safety for all participants, only registered runners are allowed on the course. No additional bicycles or unofficial pacers are allowed.
FinisherPix will be taking professional photos during the race available for purchase in your registration site. They will email your pictures following your race.
