The Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, in its 31st year, is run through the nation's oldest military park .
In the January 2010 issue, readers of Runner's World selected it as the "most family-friendly"
marathon,the runner-up for "most scenic" marathon, and third for best overall marathon.

The event is presented by the Fort Oglethorpe Tourism Committee and is produced by the Chattanooga Track Club.
