Marathon Training Schedules

Looking for a training program to prepare yourself for the Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon?

Check out our 16 - week training programs (download in .pdf) tailored to both beginner and experienced marathoners.

The 16 week training program begins the week of July 25th. Prior to the week of July 26th runners should build up their running to the point where they feel comfortable running a 10 mile long run. They should also be comfortable running a total of three days a week. For plans to help build up your training base check out Runner's World Smart Coach.

Before beginning any training program it is suggested that you consult with a medical professional.

Half Marathon Training Schedules

Looking for a training program to prepare yourself for the Chickamauga Battlefield Half Marathon? Check out one of the following 16 - week programs:

The 16 week training program begins the week of July 25th. Prior to the week of July 25th beginning runners should build up their running to the point where they feel comfortable running or walking three times a week with a 2 mile long run. Experienced runners should be comfortable running four days a week with a 8 mile long run. For plans to help build up your training base check out Runner's World Smart Coach.
