Driving to Fort Oglethorpe

Both Fort Oglethorpe and the Chickamauga Battlefield are located in north west Georgia, just 20 minutes south of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

From Atlanta: Head north on I-75. Take the Battlefield Pkwy/GA-2 exit (exit 350) to Fort Oglethorpe.

From Birmingham: Head north on I-59 to I-24. Head east on I-24 towards Chattanooga. Take the US-27 S/Rossville Blvd exit (exit 180B) to Fort Oglethorpe.

From Huntsville: Head north on Hwy 72 to I-24. Head east on I-24 towards Chattanooga. Take the US-27 S/Rossville Blvd exit (exit 180B) to Fort Oglethorpe.

From Knoxville: Head south on I-75. Take the Battlefield Pkwy/GA-2 exit (exit 350) to Fort Oglethorpe.

From Nashville: Head east on I-24 towards Chattanooga. Take the US-27 S/Rossville Blvd exit (exit 180B) to Fort Oglethorpe.

The start/finish is located at the 6th Cavalry Museum in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia (6 Barnhardt Circle).

Flying to Chattanooga

The closest airport is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Fort Oglethorpe is located just 20 minutes south of Chattanooga.
